Non-fiction books to inform and inspire

Author Dr Jacqueline Jeynes is an expert in Military History, Hiking in Wales, Risk Management and textile crafts

We do not generally see an author who covers so many diverse subject areas but as Jacqueline says

"I have been around for a long time!"

Despite the topics seeming to be very different, all the books were written based on the work she was doing at the time and always with a background love of long-distance walking and the Arts.

Dr Jacqueline Jeynes, travel writer, author,

Jacqueline has often taken up the challenge of long distance treks, walking in Venezuela, Cuba, and Mount Etna, raising over £10,000 for charity.

“In 2010 I walked the Wye Valley Way with my Aunt Jenni – basically 2 old ladies walking across Wales 136 miles in 15 days".

With images of old paintings of places along the route from Chepstow to Plynlimon, it is a beautiful “Walking Wales” book rather than just a travelogue
